Synopsis
Dave Randall is an idealistic, driven, and romantic eighteen-year-old film student who dreams of becoming a screenwriter. In film class, Dave catches the eye of Kelly, a beautiful girl-next-door type. Dave is smitten, but unfortunately Kelly has a boyfriend so the two just become good friends.
Now, ten years later, Dave, a producer of a reality dating show has become the ultimate Hollywood player. Whether it’s walking puppies, taking a yoga class or joining a book club, Dave knows all the tricks to picking up chicks. He imparts his knowledge on his best friend and roommate, Ryan, an internet dating fanatic, whenever he gets the chance.
Then one day, Kelly runs into Dave. Having moved out to Los Angeles to act, she and Dave reconnect immediately. Unfortunately, Kelly also meets Gwen, Dave’s producing partner. Gwen tricks Kelly into going on their show. After one too many drinks, Kelly becomes the life of the party and completely embarrasses herself which is TV reality gold for Dave and Gwen’s boss, Jon, who wants to run it for sweeps week.
Now, Dave must decide whether to stick to his seedy ways and air Kelly’s episode to clinch a killer TV job or give it all up to follow his love for the one girl who really knows just how sweet he can be.
